Movie: A distorted surface under tension relaxes to the equilibrium state.

A moving interface modeled by the full Navier-Stokes equations with singular forces. The driving force is the surface tension. The jump in the pressure is proportional to the curvature and the surface tension. The initial interface is a five star and the final computed shape at t=100 is a circle, the area loss is less than 1.61%. The simulation is computed using the immersed interface method (IIM) coupled with the projection method (BCG version by Bell, Colella, and Glaz). The moving interface is updated by the level set method.
