• Homework problems will cover each section discussed in class and will be posted on WEBassign, 10%.  Extensions for the homework will only be granted if requested before the deadline, and for valid reasons. 

• The maple assignments and due dates are online at http://egrader.math.ncsu.edu/CalculusWithMaple/

• Tests: There will be four tests during this semester and the dates have been set. There is no make-up tests. I will drop your lowest test score if your attendance record is good.

• Final Exam: The final exam is 1:00-4:00 pm,  HA307,  Monday, May 9, 2005.  
  

• Grading:  Final grade (A+, A, A-, B+, B, B- C, ... ) will be evaluated according to the following weighted average:
• Webassign (Homework): 10%
• Maple assignment: 10%
• Quizzes: 40%
• Final: 35%.
• Class participation: 5%
• Extra Credit:   up to 5%. Group study:  3-4 persons form a group. The group meet once a week and keep a good record;   A project may be assigned. People with poor attendance record are not eligible.

Class Rules: A good learning environment is essential to the success of a large class. Therefore class discipline is appreciated and will be enforced. After first two weeks, the seat assignment should be fixed. Constant talking, reading irrelevant materials,  late arrival and early departure are not allowed and will be penalized by your class participation grade and attendance record .
